Celebrate Day of the Dead in Style: Join Us for the Art of the Cocktail Class on November 1st
As the season comes to a close at The Roof at Park South, we’re excited to invite you to our final Art of the Cocktail Class of the year, held on Friday, November 1st. This special edition of our beloved mixology series will celebrate the vibrant and spirited tradition of Día de los Muertos—the Day of the Dead. It’s a night dedicated to honoring the “Spirit of Mexico” through expertly crafted cocktails, unique small-batch tequilas and mezcals, and of course, a festive atmosphere that will bring the rooftop to life one last time before winter.
Here’s why you should join us for this incredible event.
The "Spirit of Mexico" Comes to Life
Día de los Muertos is a holiday known for its rich cultural traditions, colorful decorations, and celebrations that honor the deceased by bringing their spirits back to life for one night each year. At The Roof, we’re channeling that vibrant energy into our Art of the Cocktail event, where you’ll learn to make cocktails inspired by the spirits of Mexico—featuring small-batch tequila and organic mezcal.
Whether you’re already a fan of these unique spirits or looking to dive deeper into the world of tequila and mezcal, this is the perfect opportunity to explore these bold flavors with guidance from our expert mixologists.
Interactive Mixology with Premium Spirits
The Day of the Dead edition of Art of the Cocktail is sponsored by some of the best brands in the business, including premium small-batch tequila and organic mezcal. While the final lineup of brands will be revealed closer to the event, you can expect the same high-quality spirits that have been featured in previous classes—like Jose Cuervo, Dobel, 2XO, Silent Pool, and Belvedere.
During the class, you’ll get hands-on experience creating four unique cocktails, each designed to showcase the rich, complex flavors of these premium Mexican spirits. From smoky mezcal-based drinks to smooth, agave-forward tequila cocktails, this class will teach you how to craft drinks that not only taste amazing but also pay tribute to the spirit of Mexico and the traditions of Día de los Muertos.
What to Expect During the Class
Welcome Cocktails: The night begins at 6:00 PM with welcome cocktails featuring one of the premium brands, giving you a chance to sip and settle in before the mixology session kicks off.
Interactive Cocktail Making: At 6:30 PM, the real fun begins. Our talented mixologists will lead you through the process of making four different cocktails, using the best tequilas and mezcals to highlight the diverse flavors and versatility of these spirits.
Shared Appetizers: Throughout the class, you’ll enjoy a selection of shared appetizers, perfectly paired to complement the cocktails. Expect delicious bites that will keep the energy high and your taste buds satisfied.
Optional After Party Dinner at Sweetbriar: Keep the celebration going by joining us for an after-party dinner at Sweetbriar. For an additional $55, you’ll enjoy a family-style meal that’s perfect for winding down the evening with great food and even better company.
